This piece came from a winter ritual I developed in 2023. After long, stressful work days, I'd sit at my desk and lose myself in these flowing patterns before bed. It became this meditative practice that helped me decompress and find my center again.
The swirling blue lines follow their own rhythm - there's no planning or sketching, just letting the marker move where it wants to go. I'd experimented with this flowing style years earlier but never thought it was "good enough" to pursue. Coming back to it in my thirties, I realized it didn't need to be anything other than what it was - pure meditation in motion.
Even though this series came from a challenging time, these pieces remind me of joy. There's something about the repetitive, circular movements that just feels good to create and even better to look at. The deep blue has this calming energy that still helps me feel grounded when I see it.
